The Bluebell Fire south west of Evergreen Colorado was reported earlier this afternoon, on June 3rd, 2013.

Evacuation notices have been sent out to thousands of homes in the area – if you are in the area, you need to leave NOW.

See our map of the evacuation area:

(note that this is a very preliminary map from verbal descriptions of the evacuation area, as better information becomes available, we’ll be sure to update it)

The home shown in the above photo has been located on our Bluebell Fire map. Zoom in on the grey camera icon on our map to see the house that firefighters are battling to protect. For an alternate view, see the property while it was under construction in Bing’s Birds Eye imagery.

  1. This map doesn’t match description; Bluebell Circle/Ln isn’t even in it.
Other evac descriptions showed it up to Buffalo Park Rd. Other descriptions wrong, or this one?
I’m not there physically but my house is :(

  2. The evac area is way overdone. There is no way this fire is going to burn 15 square milles, jump five deep valleys going south, and if it would do that, it would easily jump Hwy 73. No wind here in the Evergreen Meadow Valley…

No evac call here yet either, but the website – BTW the best info I’ve seen, shows all within the boundary is to EVAC! Really. Can’t we get better at this?

    • I imagine the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is erring on the side of caution after last years Waldo Canyon Fire. With as fast as that fire grew, I think we’re going to see larger evacuation perimeters become the norm in an effort to protect lives.

Keep in mind we here at are just a messenger in these situations – we’re merely here to relay information to people as quickly & accurately as possible. We do not have any influence in the creation or administration of evacuation perimeters in any way, shape or form.

  3. I would like to request that you put a time “stamp” so we know what time the post was updated. Otherwise, we have no idea if this info is hours old or what. Thank you. Other than that, very appreciative of the information.
